This holiday season presents several new offerings - Cappella Romana's excellent holiday release "Kontakion for the Nativity of Christ" follows up on the heels of their critically acclaimed 2-CD English Divine Liturgy set.

We also offer two new crosses to our catalog - a simple relief slavonic style cross with the "Save and Protect" inscription and a slightly more rugged tri-bar cross for daily wear.

We are also pleased to present the Children's Bible Reader - Spanish Edition, which is available now, as well as a number of academic bible study resources including the revised Septuaginta, a critical edition of the Gospel of John according to the Byzantine Tradition and others.

Soon we will release the new Orthodox Military New Testament, designed to be small and portable while also including adequate devotional references for Orthodox Christians who are deployed.

St. Olga Cross

This Orthodox Cross is a 20th century design engraved with the Russian St. Andrew Cross, IC XC for "Jesus Christ", and a symbol representing the light of Christ at the top. On the reverse side is the Slavonic phrase "spasi I sokhrani", meaning "save and protect". Tradition teaches that when the Apostle Andrew preached in southern Russia he placed a life-size three-bar cross at his side. While explaining the Last Judgement he tilted the foot plate to signify that those on the right side of Christ will go up into heaven and those on the left will go down into hell.

Available in sterling silver and 14kt gold in three sizes:

7/8" x 1 3/8" (Large)
5/8" x 1 1/4" (Medium)
1/2" x 7/8" (Small)

The inscription on the back doesn't scale down with the size.
