How do I sign up for a bookstore purchaser (reseller) account?
To sign up for a bookstore account, the process is the same as it is for a regular account.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have already registered as a regular customer, you may encounter a problem registering again if you try to use the same email on two accounts. The shopping cart uses the email address of the customer as the unique identifier for each account.
We highly recommend that folks have a separate email account for their church bookstore purchases. We recommend this, because in the not so distant future you will be using your email address to sign in, rather than a user name.
First, follow the registration process as you would to be a regular customer. Use the new email address you have set up.
Next, view your profile details after you sign in. A new tab appears on your profile details page called 'User Groups.'
If you click in this tab, you will see two possible groups that you may request to join:
- Parish Bookstore - for bookstores that have a physical location and are open less than 20 hours a week.
- Retail Bookstore - for bookstores that have a physical location and are open more than 20 hours a week.
Most parishes will fall under the Parish Bookstore Purchaser group.
Once you have requested membership in this group, you may receive an email requesting more information about the bookstore itself - hours and location, whether it is religious books only or general books, etc.
Next, your membership is manually approved. If applicable a tax free flag is also set.
